Fidelity Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
As part of our ongoing commitment to protect your employees鈥 accounts and personal information, Fidelity is enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) at login and requiring contact information for NetBenefits accounts. With MFA, an extra layer of security is added to employee accounts to protect against potentially compromised or weak passwords.
- MFA at login will be automatically enabled for employees with a mobile on file and enforced at their next login.
- Any employees missing contact information will be prompted to provide a personal mobile number and email. This will allow us to enable MFA and send security alerts for employees currently missing contact information. This number is only used for account access via MFA and is not used for any communications, marketing, etc.
- Employees should expect a One-Time Passcode or other authenticator (e.g. Push Authentication). The One-Time Passcode can be sent via SMS text or robocall (for landline support).
- Employees can choose to 鈥渢rust鈥 specific devices to avoid repeat challenges on devices they use regularly. Trusted devices can be viewed and managed in the NetBenefits庐 Security Center.
